Once the tent is set, the camp chairs are out, and the fire is crackling, a deck of cards or a well-loved board game naturally finds its way onto the table. No screens competing for attention. No rushing off to the next thing. Just us, laughing, teasing, and fully present.

Games have a way of leveling the playing field. Around a camp table (or whatever your table looks like), it doesn’t matter how old you are or what your day looked like. Everyone gets a turn. Everyone gets a voice. Some of our best conversations happen mid-game, between shuffling cards and counting points. Others happen in the quiet moments, when someone’s thinking through their next move and the stars quietly take over the sky.

Camping strips life back to the essentials, and games fit perfectly into that simplicity. They invite patience, playfulness, and shared memories. Wins are celebrated loudly. Losses are met with groans and laughter. And long after the trip ends, it’s often those game nights we remember most.
